Chinh is running Boston 2017!
For all of you who have been so supportive of my running Boston over the years, 2017 will be an exciting year for me, as I am set to run Tokyo and Boston in the span of a month and a half!!!
With such a tight schedule, training has been in full swing...and I am looking forward to again running Boston on behalf of the Museum of Science in support of the Traveling Programs!!
As many of you may know, for over 20 years, Traveling Programs has helped the Museum forge strong connection with community organizations and leaders by bringing interactive science education on the road, serving more than 100,000 students annually. These programs provide a special learning opportunity for schools and many communities throughout New England that simply do not have the financial resources for a field trip to the Museum. Through their presentations and workshops, Traveling Programs inspires young people to truly get excited about science and take an active role in their education.
This will be my seventh year with the MOS Marathon team, and I hope that you will again support me and MOS for the 121th running of the Boston Marathon. Your gift will bring Traveling Programs to students through increased scholarship opportunity, equipment and vehicle enhancement, and new program development. Last year, because of everyone's generosity, Traveling Programs was able to raise over $100,000 and travel tens of thousands of miles to visit hundreds of schools in many different communities in New England.
The next four months will be tough but exciting, as I train with my MOS teammates and friends in the Marathon Coalition, while we work to meet our personal and MOS team fundraising goals.
And on April 17, 2016, I hope to see many of you along the marathon route, as I make my way from Hopkinton to Boylston Street.
